One year of compassion – well I’d like to say that I practiced what I preached….but I wish I were able to do more…
More often, I am amazed how things come and go in our lives; a sort of ebb and flow of events, people and changes. Time effects these moments in an intangible perspective. What I mean is, the history is right there in front of our eyes; I see the changes; the gray hairs, the wrinkles and yet some day it hits me, wow I am married to this man for 30 years where has the time gone.
Moving along, as I step onto my soapbox, did you know that 57% of woman makes up the workforce today? I thought it was higher but perhaps the statistics can be askew. After all, everywhere I go I see many women working. What I also see is among women is an animosity with one another. Unless it’s Wednesday and we are all wearing pink, (a mean girl reference) meaning I have your back because you are part of my team, or clique. It can be very intimidating.
I am a collector – I gather information, conversations, sayings, stories, lyrics from songs, verses from poems… recollections that can help me make sense of any event, or comfort me during a time when it is needed. These so-called belongings are tucked in notebooks, diaries, and memories.
