a four-sided view on just about anything!

“Consider yourself lucky for getting on the same line as me.”

“Consider yourself lucky for getting on the same line as me.”
This morning on the way to work, I got myself stressed out, I was trying to call my husband and for about a little over a mile and half I did not have cell service….I was not happy at all and frustrated because of it.

I had no idea what to think; did we forget to pay the bill…then I thought well sure this would happen to me, because why wouldn’t it.

I kept on driving, and at a red light I shut down the phone then I restarted the darn thing – afterwards  I  was able to call hubby and told him what happened – he assured me that we did in fact pay the bill and it must have been a freaky thing.

Fine it was a freaky thing …but it seems like I’m always dealing with freaky things.

This weekend I needed to go to Dollar Tree Store, I needed a card; I picked up a candle, some hair stuff for Miss Amelia, and post-it’s for me.

On a side note, I get two magazine subscriptions mailed to the house they are piling up on my desk and would like them organized and stored neatly. I need magazine racks, or folders or files whatever they are called. I noticed at the store, they have these types of boxes that hold things like coloring books and calendars; I thought, if they are throwing them away perhaps I can get a couple or maybe they would hold them for me and I will come back for them.

Once I got up to the counter I placed my items on the belt and asked the cashier if I can speak to the manager, she called the manager and proceeded to ring me up. As the cashier was ringing up the items, I asked the store manager about the boxes and if they can save me a few, I will pick them up when they are available.

I was just about to say, unless you can give me a couple right now, but I was interrupted by the next customer on line.

“Excuse me lady but I have to go pick up my son!”

“What?” I turned only to see this grown man, holding a bunch of balloons, yelling at me.” The cashier had just finished ringing up the items. I have no idea where he came from; he wasn’t there when the manager came to see me, no one was behind me.
I quickly made my way to pay for my things and ended the conversation with the manager.

I was shaking inside…again, it was freaky, I feel that I am a considerate person, especially out in public.

Sadly I know how he feels, I have been the person waiting on line because the person in front of me was asking a question or just being annoying; I’ve also had a person cut the line at Target’s customer/returns and didn’t say a word.

Yet this was not right because if I had known he was there I would have not spoken to the manager at the register… I would have spoken to her after I was rung up.

I said to him while paying, well I have to go pick up my son too, you know we all have somewhere to go, and we all have things to do; I am so sorry I was in your way …we all have lives and work hard too. So next time you have a need to express your impatience, a little compassion goes a long way, especially when you should have allotted some more time.

By this time, I was done with my transaction; and I said to him

“Consider yourself lucky for getting on the same line as me.”
Then I told the cashier to have a nice day and thanked her, as I was leaving.
